Whole-Home Repiping (Copper & PEX)

Many of Chicago's older two-flats and bungalows still run on the galvanized steel pipe they were built with — and after 50-plus years, that pipe is corroding from the inside, choking off water pressure and eventually failing. We repipe with either rigid copper or flexible PEX tubing, and we'll walk you through the tradeoffs: copper is the traditional, highly durable choice with a long track record, while PEX is faster to install, more resistant to freeze-cracking, and typically lower in material cost. Either way, every run is pressure-tested before we close up walls.

Signs You Need This Service

Rusty, brownish, or discolored water — especially right after the water has sat unused — noticeably low pressure at multiple fixtures, frequent pinhole leaks in exposed piping, visible flaking or corrosion on supply lines in the basement, or a home built before the 1960s that has never been repiped are all strong signs your galvanized system is nearing the end of its service life.
